are Birding groups weird?

I would love to start a birding group. A group of people who can get together once a week at a different location, grab their binoculars, put on the merlin app and go bird watching together. I fear I may be met with a bunch of weirdos. I always have struggled with finding someone like me. It’s hard to find women who smoke weed, wear make up and do not want children.

I was never successful at being in a girl group (or any group). I am convinced I have autism and while I do great with one on one interactions - group settings often make me feel confused and I end up being too loud or weird.
